Cyclist here in the DC area flaunt the same holier than thou attitude. We have “Share the Road” signs on some major thoroughfares, so they probably feel a sense of vindication even when causing passing cars to slow down to half speed instead of passing.
What makes me want to throw something made of brick as I pass is when they fly right through stop signs and red lights. If “share the road” is mandated, when does the cyclist obeying traffic laws come into play?
Don’t worry, there are no bricks in my car and even if there were, I can’t throw for shit. Watch out for my door though.
