Pocket Dock = problem solved. (via shawnblog)
I’m so happy to have found this product. Previously, charging my iPhone in the car while listening to music through the audio output via auxiliary jack (Honda Element) was impossible. For some reason, iPhone would stop playing music when the charger was connected to the bottom of the phone at the same time as the audio out… presumably because the software in the phone “thought” that was where the audio out should go. I guess that’s the default audio out and plugging them both in at the same time just won’t work.
PocketDock from SendStation enables audio output and power in from the same port, thus eliminating the aforementioned very annoying issue. I can now listen and charge simultaneously, which is really a must since I need the phone for extended periods when I get out of the car!
