Fleet Bank
I too was a Fleet Bank customer and, to put it very mildly, I am also very unhappy with BOA. I also have a six digit PIN that I won’t need to change because I will close my account soon.
The treatment I have received as a customer of BOA can only be described as horrendous. If you are a customer and you are happy with BOA, I understand.
I went for a long time without any problems until one day an uncommon situation that none of their agents were easily able to understand or handle turned into weeks of financial nightmare for me. It really was like they literally just didn’t know how!
The repercussions of this incident and continued apathetic attitude and zero attempt to fix things for me have turned a once happy customer away for good. I implore you all to find another bank!

It’s where I opened my checking account. At some point during college, it got swallowed by Bank of America. So, while I was at the bank this morning picking up my foreign currency for my trip, I had to change my PIN to work in Europe. Apparently I’m the last person in the United States with a 6 digit PIN left over from Fleet Bank, and European ATMs only accept 4 digits. Anyway, it’s changed, and now I’m walking around with over $1000 in GBP and Euros like money ain’t a thaaaaaaaaang. (Note: but money so is a thang)
P.S. One of these days I’m really going to have to change my account to CA, because BofA is ridiculously annoying about changing anything to your account from out-of-state. Like they literally just don’t know how.
