NEVER do this with your kids. (lemme do it.)
I’m pretty sure I saw this at the mall earlier.
I always think about this when I’m laying in bed. It hurts to think about…now my head hurts.
I’ve wondered this since I was a little kid.
Erin and I were besties from fifth through seventh grade. We both lived in Beale Air Force Base and we would wander around the fields and climb trees. She was also the first amongst my girlfriends to have a boyfriend. Also, she had a golden retriever named Sandi that I adored very much.
This is why I still keep my Myspace and Facebook pages.
I now have more than 60 Facebook friends from my elementary, middle and high school days. It’s completely bizarre (and very interesting) to catch up with people who I haven’t seen in 25 years (I’m 40). My first business partner from a morning newspaper route, friends that were “patrols” with me on the same neighborhood corner near our elementarty school, a few guys from those early fights after school and later, from “partying” for the first time… and so much more. Everything that was so big then is like reading a book about someone else now. I barely remember some of it, yet I have retained vivid details of events that some of them swear they don’t recall happening at all.
What a long, strange trip it’s been.
Hello childhood, I’m waiting for your much anticipated visit.
Seeing this makes me so happy right now. And with my grandmother recently finding a bunch of my old books that I read as a child in her storage, I can now fulfill my childhood desire to pass them on to my kids (someday).
Seriously, my stomach is doing somersaults at how excited I am for this film. Spike Jonze - don’t f it up please.
I still have my original copy of this book.
These look like a bad idea. We’re all blessed with a unique set of toes. Mine are kinda normal, but I have seen really long toes, short and fat toes, etc. I see a lot going wrong here.
If they were custom built to fit your little piggies, I might be interested. They kinda remind me of my PJ’s with built in feet from when I was like 4.
in light of all this “news” that shoes are bad for the natural walking biomechanics, i felt it necessary to post these awesome awesome awesome shoes from vibram, the fivefingers. i don’t have my own pair, but when i find $80 to burn, hoo boy you can bet i’ll be rocking these hobbit feet.
Star Wars according to a 3 year old.
Dylan Hargreaves , 4, has a vocabulary of only 10, one-syllable words after being diagnosed with severe learning difficulties since three years ago. But the autistic boy is now being helped to talk by a pet macaw his mother received as a gift from her partner last year. From Lancashire Telegraph
His parents have been amazed by his progress after he began listening to his mother teaching the family’s pet bird, Barney.
For as Michelle, 33, of Broughton Close, Blackburn, tells the bird a new word, Dylan has started to say it too.
He has already learned how to say ta’ and bye’ through listening to the macaw in the last few months.
And now his parents believe he is just days away from saying his first two-syllable word - Barney!
advertisementShe said: “Every time I gave the bird something to say Dylan started trying to say the same thing.
“I think it’s because the bird says it slower than me, which helps Dylan to understand it better.
“He has changed my life and Dylan’s because before he would not even have attempted words with two syllables.”
